Taking influences from New Orleans second line, hip hop, Latin, pop, rock, and everything in between, our music embodies the ideal of collaboration and reinvents familiar genres and sounds. Led By Tuba player Bobby Murray, we have been sharing our music since 2016, and built an eclectic group of talented musicians from a variety of different backgrounds. With our music, we hope to inspire others to express themselves with confidence and vulnerability. lala aims to create a platform where everyone feels like they belong.

“We’ve seen great brass bands from Africa, Canada, both of the wine regions in CA, San Francisco; but haven’t yet seen a legitimately good brass band from Los Angeles…until now.”

Your set was truly the highlight of the evening - it was phenomenal. Can’t wait to do it again.

“I wanted to thank you again, so much for going above and beyond for our special day. You guys KILLED IT and everyone loved you so much and had a blast on the dance floor because of ya’ll. The arrangement for our first dance was just perfect, thank you for the fixes…that jazz flute came in and I was so happy!”
— Andi G
“LALA transcends any sort of restrictions or boundaries.”
— Adrienne M
“I cannot say enough about LALA Brass. They were simply AMAZING! Finding a band to play New Orleans style 2nd line music for my NOLA bred husband..... MAN!!!! I knew LALA BRASS was the “truth” when all the groomsmen gave their stamp of approval (they all play as well). My husband and his family were so happy. He actually wished that I booked a longer session.”
